Handcrafted With Heart, From the Canadian Wilderness to Your Home

Heading

I’m the hands and heart behind Moosen Bear, a small-batch woodworking and art studio rooted in craftsmanship and creativity. Based in Canada, I blend natural materials and thoughtful design to create timeless pieces — from hand-carved cutting boards to original canvas paintings.

What started as a personal passion has grown into a collection of work that celebrates nature, simplicity, and storytelling. Each product is made with care, often inspired by the quiet beauty of the outdoors and the charm of everyday living.

My process is slow, intentional, and deeply personal. Whether it’s carved, painted, or built — every Moosen Bear piece is made slow, with care and purpose. No two pieces are exactly alike. Drawing inspiration from the Canadian landscape and the textures of daily life, I aim to create items that feel warm, lived-in, and lasting.

Moosen Bear isn’t just about making beautiful things. It’s about preserving the spirit of handmade tradition in a fast-paced world.

Moosen Bear Story

Moosen Bear started as something quiet. Just me in the workshop, carving boards and shaping wood because it felt honest. There’s something grounding about working with your hands, about taking a raw piece of material and turning it into something that’s meant to be used, held, and passed down.

What began as a personal passion slowly grew into something more. A way to share a slower, more intentional way of living where the things we bring into our homes are made with care, not rushed off a line.

I work with natural wood and let the grain guide the process. Each board, each piece, is different. That’s part of what I love. No two are ever quite the same.

Moosen Bear is my way of holding on to tradition. Everything is made by hand, in small batches, with a focus on quality and purpose. I want the things I make to feel warm and lived-in, like they’ve always belonged in your kitchen or on your table.

Weaving Hills Story

Weaving Hills is where I get to slow down and let things feel a little looser - a little more open. It’s the space I created for my artwork, where I can follow a feeling, a memory, or a landscape and let it take shape on canvas.

While Moosen Bear is rooted in the rhythm of the workshop, Weaving Hills is more fluid. It’s where I explore color, texture, and story without worrying about function - just the emotion behind it. A lot of my pieces come from moments I’ve lived through nature: soft light, a quiet trail, the way snow settles on a branch. I try to let that energy guide the brush.

Each painting is personal, intuitive, and one of a kind. I don’t sketch much. I just start. Sometimes with a mark, sometimes a color - and the story builds from there.

Weaving Hills is my reminder to trust the process. To create not just what I see, but what I feel.
